These terms apply when you use Metaphors Mastery or purchase access to its member materials. The website and membership are operated by Andrew T. Austin. Questions may be sent to freshnewbrain@gmail.com.
1. The membership
Metaphors Mastery provides adjunctive training materials for people studying Metaphors of Movement. Membership includes access to the protected video, audio and written materials made available during your access period.
The membership costs £249 as a single payment and provides 12 months of access. It does not renew automatically. Access ends at the end of the 12-month period. If you want another year, you must make a new purchase.
2. Ordering and payment
You must provide accurate account and billing information. Your order is accepted when payment is successfully processed and a confirmation is issued. Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. Prices are displayed in pounds sterling.
We may correct an obvious pricing or technical error before accepting an order. We will not increase the price of an already accepted 12-month membership.
3. Cancellation and refunds
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing freshnewbrain@gmail.com from the email address used for your membership. Please include your name and order reference. If a refund is issued, membership access will end and the refund will normally be returned to the original payment method.
After 14 days, refunds are not normally provided for a change of mind. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have where digital content or services are faulty, misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care.
4. Your account
Membership is for the named account holder only. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you believe the account has been compromised. You must not share an account, allow group access through one login, attempt to bypass access controls, or interfere with the security or operation of the website.
5. Permitted use and copyright
All course and member materials remain the intellectual property of their respective owner. Your purchase gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to view the materials during your membership period. Unless written permission is given, you may not reproduce, record, download where no download is offered, republish, sell, distribute, publicly perform, teach directly from, or create competing materials from protected content.
Short quotations may be used only where permitted by law and with appropriate acknowledgement.
6. Professional and educational scope
The materials are educational and are not medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice. They do not replace appropriate qualifications, supervision, safeguarding duties, clinical assessment or professional judgement. You remain responsible for how you apply any ideas in your own work and for complying with the standards and laws that apply to you.
Do not submit confidential client-identifying or sensitive clinical information through comments, email or WhatsApp.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep member content available throughout the access period but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Temporary interruption may occur for maintenance, security, third-party outages or events outside reasonable control. We may improve, reorganise or replace materials while preserving the overall nature of the membership.
8. Suspension or termination
We may suspend or end access where an account is used fraudulently, shared without permission, used to infringe intellectual property, or used to harm the website or other users. Where appropriate, we will first explain the issue and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.
9. External services and links
The website may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including payment, video, analytics, WhatsApp and community services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by misuse of the materials, or failures outside reasonable control. Any liability relating to a membership will be limited to the amount paid for that membership, except where a different limitation is required by law.
11. Changes to these terms
The terms that applied when you purchased remain applicable to that purchase. We may update these terms for future purchases or to reflect legal and service changes. The current version and update date will appear on this page.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings that apply in the country where you live.
